Ginny has lived in Wheathampstead for 10 years and has been a member of Wheathampstead Businesses since 2017. In her professional life, Ginny was Director of Operations at St Albans Enterprise Agency so has a wealth of experience helping and networking with small businesses.
In 2018 Ginny took over the organisation of the networking meetings and there was a steady growth in the number of attendees who have all benefitted from informative speakers and increased sales through contacts made at these meetings. In April 2021 Ginny took over the Chairman’s role and said: “I love leading the group but it really is a team effort and I’m very fortunate to lead a committee of dedicated and passionate people whose aim is to promote, support and protect Wheathampstead businesses”.
Clare moved to Wheathampstead as a newly qualified teacher back in 1998. After a period abroad, she returned to the area to live in St Albans and teach in Harpenden. Following a career change, she is now an independent funeral celebrant who particularly loves working with families whose lives are embedded in the places she knows well.
Having set up as a sole trader relatively recently, she appreciates just how beneficial friendly and supportive local business networks can be to newly established sole traders or small business owners. Clare coordinates the lunch and breakfast network meetings for Wheathampstead Businesses.
